wireless adapter for xbox 360?
okay so i want to know how to use the wireless adapter. what i mean is that once you put it at the back of the xbox where do you go? what do to after you finish finding a network connection?please reply if you know thank you very much and remember 10 point!!!!!
Ok, I'll try and describe everything I did...
Ok, obviously you have broadband. You don't need to use your computer to get onto live everytime - just the once when you connect your adapter to your xbox, therefore the first time your router connects to your adapter on the xbox.
1) Plug your adapter in, turn your xbox on.
2) You firstly need to configure your router (basically get a code, called a WEP code) for this you will need your computer, as your router is connected to it. Enter http://192.168.1.1/ into your internet url bar, allowing you to open your router settings page.
3) Find the code under the SECURITY tab, enter the code into the networks section on your xbox BUT DO NOT PRESS OK (think the code is 26 characters long) , go back to the router, click a channel (usually 1) on the actual router, go back to your xbox code page and press OK.
Basically:
- Plug the adapter into your xbox
- Go on to the configurations page for your router on your pc(needs only to be done the first time)
- Enter the code on your xbox, and your finished, you don't need to turn your computer on every time you want to play.
